How to buy RSA personal insurance products

The way we sell our personal insurance products varies from country to country.  We sell directly through some of the world’s most trusted personal insurance brands: MORE TH>N and 123.ie in the UK and Ireland respectively, Trygg-Hansa in Sweden, Codan in Denmark and Norway and Johnson and RSA in Canada.

In some countries, we also sell our personal insurance products through brokers and agents.

Underwriting for leading retail and financial brands

Our unwavering commitment to excellent customer service has also made us the partner of choice for some of the world’s most recognised retail brands. 

In the UK, for example, we have a long-standing affinity partnership with John Lewis providing home and pet insurance. And in 2015 we signed an exclusive five-year contract with Nationwide, the UK’s largest building society, to underwrite their home insurance portfolio.

Innovating to meet changing customer needs

RSA is proud to be one of the leading insurers for young and inexperienced drivers in the UK. MORE TH>N Smart Wheels combines motor insurance with monitoring devices in cars—sometimes called ‘black box’ insurance or ‘

Telematics is the use of technology to record data on how an object is being used in real-time. Examples include 'black boxes' in cars and mobile phone apps that can record how the car is being driven (its speed, location and fuel consumption); home monitoring devices; or collars that monitor a pet's activity.

’—to encourage over 30,000 young motorists to drive more safely. 

Building on that success, our Johnson business in Canada was the first-to-market with a mobile app driven product called AvenU in 2015.
