Track your terrier!

The PitPat smart collar lets owners track their pet’s activity levels and fitness.

January 2017: RSA invests in the company behind PitPat, a dog activity monitor and dog care platform. For the first time, dog owners can monitor how their pet is behaving and how that behaviour might affect their health.  Read the full story

 

Keeping children safe online in Denmark

March 2017: A hugely successful online campaign by our Danish business Codan gave families practical advice on how to stay safe when connected to the Internet.  Read the full story

Picturing the damage on the Trygg-Hansa app.

July 2017: Our Swedish business Trygg-Hansa launches a new service that takes the hassle out of motor claims. Rather than driving to an approved workshop for damage to be inspected, customers can take and share pictures with the workshop via their mobile phone.  Find out more at Trygg-Hansa.se

 

September 2017: RSA in Scandinavia introduced the InsureMyTesla programme - a comprehensive insurance plan designed to enhance the Tesla ownership experience while also supporting the uptake of electric vehicles in Norway. Visit InsureMyTesla Sweden | InsureMyTesla Norway

 

Responding to Ophelia in Ireland

Gusts reached 109mph as Ireland was battered by Storm Ophelia.

October 2017: RSA supports customers in Ireland hardest hit by Storm Ophelia, the strongest eastern Atlantic hurricane on record, putting in place a claims surge plan to manage some 1,200 claims.

Partnering for success in the UK

December 2017: RSA’s partnership with Nationwide Building Society goes live, alongside a new build your own home insurance product, confirming RSA as one of the largest home insurers in the UK. Read the full story

 

Awarding excellence!

Celebrating best in class performance.

Over the course of 2017 RSA businesses around the world were frequently recognised for best-in-class performance.

In February, Al Ahlia in the United Arab Emirates picked up a series of industry awards including Best Insurance Company in the Middle East and North Africa, while it was a triple win for the UK business at the British Insurance Awards in July, including the coveted Major Loss Award.

August saw our Canadian operations pick up 13 Stevies® at the International Business Awards, including Marketing Team of the Year, and we finished the year with RSA being recognised as General Insurer of the Year at City AM’s prestigious financial services awards.
