Recruitment Strategy In Peterborough

Recruiting our Everyday Heroes

13,394 colleagues around the world help make RSA what we are today, with every single person contributing to the way we live our values. 2016 was a year of expansion for us at our Peterborough, UK offices, where we have been a leading employer for over three decades. As we began our search to fill 200 new positions, we chose to make the most of our biggest asset – our people – focusing our campaign on RSA individuals already making unique contributions to the local Peterborough community.

Across the globe, we are a major employer in numerous communities. Because we understand the obligations this places on us, being a Responsible Business is enshrined in our Corporate Responsibility strategy. Our success is founded upon the people who make up our organisation, so it is critical that we attract the best talent by proving ourselves to be an attractive employer.

Our UK Contact Centre is based in Peterborough, one of our key operational homes for more than 30 years. Beginning in November 2016, we began a recruitment drive to grow the team, establishing 200 brand new vacancies. This expansion gave us the perfect opportunity to shout about the Everyday Heroes already working for us. We picked six outstanding people to front our campaign. People who fully embody the RSA values of being big hearted, team-spirited, curious and committed with a desire to make things better within their local community.

All six make outstanding contributions. Take Kamal, an entrepreneur and inspirational speaker working with young people. Or Chris, who coaches young boxers at Peterborough Amateur Boxing Club. Or Carole, who founded Anna’s Hope, a charity supporting children with brain tumours. Their impressive stories all featured on billboards, buses and even local radio.

So far, our Everyday Heroes have helped us recruit many talented people to our Peterborough team. But our search is not over – we are still looking for more people to live the RSA values, so that together we can make things better in their workplace and their community.
