What we're looking for

If you're on track for, or already have, a 2:2 classification or above, and you’re looking to start a career in insurance, our Bright Futures graduate programme could be for you.

We believe in the power of individuality, potential and ambition and really want that to shine through when you meet us. If you have a zest for learning and are excited by a challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

What to expect from your graduate programme

Business mentoring

You'll receive a dedicated RSA business mentor to fully guide you through your experience, and support your career development

Study time

You'll receive structured study time depending on your role and academic pathway

Development plan

You'll receive monthly learning that enhances and supports your growth and development. This includes meeting our executive team, attending masterclasses, psychometric profiling, and guest speaker sessions

Events and networking

To enrich your experience, we'll host community and networking events. These will help to boost your relationships, and gain confidence to enhance your learning journey

The application process

1. Online applications open (November to December)

You'll need to fill out an online application form. This includes some eligibility questions to check you meet the requirements of the programme.

2. Pre-assessments (January to March)

Once we've checked you meet the eligibility criteria, you'll be sent our online pre-assessments. These typically take 20 to 40 minutes to complete, and determine whether you can progress to the next step.

3. Telephone interview (January to March)

If you pass the pre-assessment step, we'll invite you to a short telephone interview to find out more about you.

4. Assessment centre (Spring)

The final stage is a strengths-based assessment centre where you'll meet with us in the office. You'll take part in some activities designed to remove bias and promote an inclusive experience. We want you to be your true self and show us what you can bring to the programme.

What is Bright Futures?

Bright Futures is our early careers talent programmes, that include apprenticeships, internships, and our graduate programme.

They've all been designed with a clear purpose in mind: to provide a structured and supportive experience that serves as a launch pad to your success.

How long is the graduate programme?

All graduates join Bright Futures for 3 years, as most graduates will enrol to study on another degree or masters-level qualification. They are typically 24 to 36 months in duration, and are the technical aspect of Bright Futures.

What happens once I've finished the graduate programme?

As you’re a permanent employee from the day you join, you will have the opportunity to drive your career your way. 

We have further learning and study journeys on offer, as well as the potential to move around the business by applying for internal roles. We see our early careers talent as future business leaders, so we will encourage your development beyond your graduate experience.
