Company Structure
The Group is organised into four main regions:
Scandinavia
Across Scandinavia, we offer both commercial and personal insurance and through our subsidiaries Codan and Trygg-Hansa, we are the third largest insurer in both Denmark and Sweden. We have a growing presence in Norway and a marine business in Finland.
Canada
We are Canada’s third largest general insurer and largest marine insurer. Under the RSA brand, we sell home, motor and commercial insurance through more than 800 brokers. Johnson, our direct business, is the country’s second largest affinity writer and through Noraxis we are also Canada’s fourth largest broker.
UK and Western Europe
UK
We are the UK’s largest commercial insurer, working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to some of the world’s most famous brands. We are also the fourth largest personal lines insurer in the UK, selling home, motor and pet insurance via brokers, affinity partners and direct to consumers under the MORE TH>N brand.
Western Europe
In Ireland, we are a leading provider of household insurance, covering one in every five Irish homes. Our recent acquisition of 123 Money make us one of the largest direct insurers and cements our number two position in the market overall.
Our Italian business is focused primarily in the north of the country, distributing products through a network of non-tied agents and brokers.
We provide bespoke insurance to multinationals through our Specialty operations in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
Emerging markets
In Latin America, we are the largest general insurer in Chile, the largest private insurer in Uruguay and a leading Marine insurer in Brazil. We are also present in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.
In Central and Eastern Europe, we are the largest general insurer in the Baltics and a top tier direct insurer in Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia.
In Asia, we are a leading general insurer in Singapore and a leading underwriter of large and complex risks in Hong Kong. In India, through our associate Royal Sundaram, we are the 4th fastest growing private insurer.
In the Middle East, we are the number two insurer in Oman and a top tier motor insurer in the United Arab Emirates.
