- The International business is the largest operating unit within the Group.
- International comprises our businesses in the mature markets of Scandinavia, Canada, Ireland and Italy.
- We are the third largest insurer in Denmark and Sweden through Codan and Trygg-Hansa respectively.
- We’re one of the oldest insurance companies in Canada, with roots dating back to 1845.
- In Canada, we are a leading direct insurer through Johnson and the largest Marine insurer.
- In Ireland, we are a leading provider of Household insurance.
Emerging Markets
- Emerging Markets operates in around 20 developing insurance markets and is RSA’s fastest growing region.
- Latin America is the largest business in Emerging Markets with operations in seven countries. The largest is in Chile, where we are the market leader, and we are also the largest private insurer in Uruguay.
- We are the number one general insurer across the Baltics.
- We operate in seven countries across Asia and the Middle East, and service the region through commercial hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. In India we operate through our associate, Royal Sundaram.
- We now own 100% of Intouch, a leading direct insurer in Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia.
